A long trek starting from Hill up the Arun Koshi, crossing shipton La (4216m) in to the upper remote Barun Khola valley for close look at Makalu and Chamalang. The Barun Valley is the huge part international protected area under an agreement between Nepal and China. The trek route leads through Yak pasture, forest, villages and glaciers to the foot of Makalu. This trek is one of the most remote and frequented area of Nepal.

Day 01/02: Drive from Kathmandu to Hille (530km/16mrs.)
Day 03: Huille to Mangmaya (200m.)
Day 04: Mangmaya to Khare
Day 05: Khare to Tumlingtar (360m.)
Day 06: Tumlingtar to Khadbari (1030m.)
Day 07: Trek to Chichilla (1830m.)
Day 08: Trek to Num (1500m.)
Day 09: Trek to Sedwa (1510m.)
Day 10: Trek to Tashigoon (2070m.)
Day 11: Trek to Kongma (3560m.)
Day 12: Trek to Mumbuk (3550m.)
Day 13: Trek to Yangle Kharka (3600m.)
Day 14: Trek to Merek (4570m.)
Day 15: Trek to Shersong (4650m.)
Day 16: Trek to Makalu Base Camp (5000m.)
Day 17-24: Return trek down to Tumlingtar.
Day 25: Tumlingtar to Kathmandu fly.
