| Day 01: Fly
in to Lhasa and transfer to hotel, afternoon rest for acclimatization
In the Hotel.
Day
02: Morning visit Potala palace, the seat of both religion
and politics in Tibet. It was built in the 7th century by Tibetan
king Songtsen Gampo and later renovated by the 5th Dalai Lama
in the 17th century. Afternoon visit Sera monastery 5 kilometer
north of Lhasa City, it was built in 1419 by Jamchen Choejie,
a disciple of Tsongkapa, and the founder Of the Gelugpa sect.
Sera is one of the three major monasteries of
yellow sect in Tibet. O/n in hotel
Day 03: Morning visit Drepung
monastery, which is the largest monastery of the Gelugpa sect
in Lhasa, it was built in 1416 by Jamyang Choejie, a Disciple
of Tsongkhapa. After visiting Drepung drive to Norbulingkha, the
Summer palace of Dalai Lama which was built in 18th century. Afternoon
visit Jokhang temple and Barkhor market, this is the holiest shrine
in Tibet and houses of golden statue of Shakyamuni Buddha, which
was brought to Tibet by Chinese princess Wenchen. O/n in hotel.
Day 04: Drive Lhasa to Tsedang;
en route visit Samye monastery which is 250 kilometers from Lhasa
and it takes 5 hours driving through the Yarlung Tsangpo river
and a beautiful view of countryside along the way, you will get
to ferry that will carry you across the Yarlung Tsangpo river
to visit the Samye Monastery, which is a sacred place for Tibetan
Buddhist follower to make their meditation. Drive back to Tsedang.

Day 05: Drive to 126 km southwest
from Tsedang to Tsuome county, en route Visit Chongyer—the tumuli
of the ancient Tibetan kings. From Lugu la pass (4,600); turn
southwest to Trigu Lake and Trigu Grassland, which is the main
nomadic area of this prefecture. O/n in Tsoume guesthouse.
Day 06: From Tsome county drive
southwest about 70kilometer to Lhodrak County, and visit Sekhar
Gutok monastery, the 9-storyed tower, which was founded In 1080
AD by the famous Buddhist master Marpa’s student Milarepa. O/n
in Guesthouse.
Day 07: From Sekhar Gutok monastery
to Nakhartse county (127km), the largest town near the Yamdrok
lake. O/n in guesthouse or camping.
Day 08: A full day drive to
Gyangtse (100 km) via Karola pass and simila pass. O/n in hotel.
Day 09: Visit Palchok monastery
and Kumbum stupa, which is said to be the museum of 10,000 images
and was built in 15th century. Afternoon drive 90 km to Shigatse
and visit Tashilunpo monastery, which is the seat of Panchen Lama
and contains the funeral tomb of the former Panchen Lama. O/n
in hotel.
Day 10: Depart from Shigatse
to Xegar (240km). O/n in guesthouse.
Day 11: Drive Xegar to Zhangmu
(244km): Morning drive to uphill to the highest plateau of the
world with typical View of the Tibetan landscape offering sheer
feeling of standing on the Roof of the world crossing over the
Nyalam Pass (3,800m) and LALAUNGLA pass (5,050m) with breathtaking
close up view of Mt. XISHAPAGMA (8212m) and MT DORJI LAKPA (6980M)
in west, and in the east, MAKALU (8210m) and Gauri Shangkar (7134m)
Peaks etc. From the pass decent down to the Plateau of NYALAM
which takes about 2 hours, then another 1 hour’s driving will
take you to Zhangmu (the border town) O/n in hotel.
Day 12: Zhangmu – Kodari border:
Departure to Nepal.
