| Day 1: Fly
to Lhasa Airport. Pick up and drive 2 hours (95 KM) to Lhasa city.
O/N at hotel.
Day 2-3: Sightseeing in Lhasa:
visit Potala palace and Jokang Temple and Barkor market, Drepung
and Srea Monastery.
Day 4: Drive Lhasa to Gyangtse
(260 Km southest of Lhasa on the Northern bank of Nyang Chu River.
It takes around 6 hours to reach Gyangtse crossing the Kampala
pass (4800m)Where the beautiful Yamdrok Tso will be seen and the
Karo la pass (5015m) Where the year around glacier will be seen.
Gyangtse has been known as a heroic town since Tibetans resisted
the Young Husband’s British Expedition to Tibet in 1904.)
Day 5: Morning visit Gayngtse,
Kumbum and Pelkorchoten, Phalkor Moanstery, was built in the 15th
century by the local chieftain Rabten Kunsang under the guidance
of the first Panchen Lama. Afternoon drive to Shigatse with Tashi
Lonpo Monastery. Shegatse is the second biggest city in Tibet,95KMs,
away from Gyangtse. The famouse Tashilonpo Monastery in Shegatse,
the seat of the Penchen Lama, one of the six important Gelukpa
Monasteries in Tibet. It was built in 1447 by the first Dalai
Lama.)
Day 6: Drive Shegatse to Old
Tingri 310 KM, it takes 7 hours.
Day 7: Start trek to Longjang
at night camping.
Day 8: Trek to Thagalhe at night
camping
Day 9: Trek to Chomek at night
camping
Day 10: Trek to Ronbuk Monastery
at night Camping
Day 11: Trek to Everest base
camp at night camping .
Day 12: Drive to Old Tingri
at Night Guest House.
Day 13: Drive to Zhangmu China
Border. End of Tour.
