Places to see:
It takes three full days to do a satisfying tour of Bandipur and its environs. Below, we propose an itinerary, which will allow you to take in the main attractions at a moderately challenging pace.
* Khadga Devi Temple: the most sacred and auspicious temple in Bandipur.
* Martyrs Memorial Area: which honors seven Bandipur sons killed during the anti-Rana insurrection of 1951.
*Bindebashini and Mahalaxmi. Bindebashini is the pagoda-roofed temple which house goddess Durga, Bandipur's guardian deity. The rich wooden carving and detailed brass-work that adorned the temple are replicas of those found in the many old pagoda structure of the Kathmandu valley
Getting there:
Dumre Bazar, the drop off point for Bandipur is located inside the Narayanghat-Pokhara-Kathmandu triangle and so can be approached from any of those three busy tourist points. It takes about 5 hours ride on a tourist coach from Kathmandu to Dumbre Bazar. There is about 7 k.m of uphill road from Dumre Bazar to Bandipur. You can take a car or coach through the road.
